No one in Boston seems to know what gooey butter cake is. Everyone that I've let try this all-time favorite recipe it has had the same reaction and I quote, "this is heaven".
I guess because I have made it so much and therefore have eaten so much, it doesn't seem to be so heavenly to me any more. But it is a hit for those who've never had gooey butter.
